Barossa: Be Consumed, a new one-day food and wine event brought to you by the Barossa Grape & Wine Association in partnership with masters of events, Bottle Shop Concepts, will launch in Melbourne this July.
Celebrating and showcasing one of the country’s greatest wine regions, South Australia’s Barossa, over 40 wineries including Sons of Eden, Henschke and Hentley Farm will participate in the event showcasing the versatility of the region. Initially capturing international attention for its distinctive style of Shiraz, there will be over 140 styles of Australia’s most renowned wine at the event.
Not just a tasting of the region’s brilliant wines, Barossa. Be Consumed will also offer an immersion into the food, culture, history and character of what makes this incredible region. Barossa food legends including Saskia Beer will be on hand to provide guests a true taste of the Barossa.  Local producers will feature their pickles, olives, cured meats, ice cream and more.
The event will also feature beer, cider and gin, highlighting the diversity of offerings from the Barossa region.

Barossa: Be Consumed aims to engage food and wine lovers on a deeper level. People learn more about wine when being taught about it the way they drink it, socially. The best stories are conversations and hearing from the people themselves has a lasting impact. Conversation sessions will do just that, hosted by food and wine personalities, these open, honest and frank ‘conversations’ will get down to the nitty gritty of the people and characters of the Barossa region and will be free throughout the day.
Dan Sims, Director of Bottle Shop Concepts, says “The Barossa is arguably one of Australia’s best food and wine destinations. We can’t wait to bring the best of the Barossa to Melbourne for one day.”
