Spice Market opened its doors last Thursday night to welcome a bevy of influencers, fashion designers, photographers, stylists and bloggers at its 7th annual FASHION CONNECT.  The venue, entertainment and fashion on display definitely lived up to theme of the evening which was ‘extravagance.’

Guests were welcomed with Chambord cocktails and French martinis upon arrival, setting the tone for the fantastical evening ahead. The fash-pack mingled while VIP groups were perched in sultry lounges. GADO Hair Stylists and Saphire Makeup & Hair Studio Artists were stationed at the hair and beauty bar for party-goers. Women and men took up the offer for a complimentary 10 minute hair and makeup beauty service with some spectacular results. Photographers snapped away trying to get photos of the results and outfits on display.

The well-heeled crowd were entertained by MC Aurora Kurth before being captivated by aerial artists Leilisha Marning. The audience were captivated during the spinning and twirling. Next was a performance from Australian superstar Bonnie Anderson, winner of the first Australia’s Got Talent. That girl can seriously sing! She stunned in a mirrored geometric top and leather skirt and delivered a knockout performance of her hit single “Blackout.”

Fashion Night Out was a sensory indulgence in all forms and the event stakes its claim, yet again, as Melbourne’s premier fashion event for Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2014.
