When you think of mum and what to do for Mother’s Day, chances are it will involve wine, cheese or chocolate. Well mums, your prayers have been answered by Rochford Wines Yarra Valley who are throwing their own cheese, wine and chocolate festival this Sunday 12th May.
The all-star line-up includes Melbourne’s own Milk the Cow, Cuvee, Kennedy & Wilson, Ministry of Chocolate & Melbourne Cocoa. With entry into the festival free, you can save your $$$ for the important stuff (like the kilo of triple brie that will more than likely be consumed in one sitting).
Break up the bottles by attending one of the drool-worthy experiences on offer including a Chocolate, Cheese & Wine Masterclass guided by Milk the Cow’s Cheesemongers and Rochford’s Sommeliers or Cuvee’s much-loved Chocolate Tempering Experience and DIY chocolate making class. Food trucks will be scattered throughout the festival (if you have any room left) as well as partner stalls where you can stock up before heading home.
But they aren’t stopping there. This family friendly festival has activities for the little ones to keep them entertained with professional child-minding services so you can relax and make the most of Melbourne’s wine country knowing they are safe.
Looking for a meal after your cheese platter? Isabella’s Restaurant if offering a pop-up three-course breakfast or four-course lunch while 400 Gradi Yarra Valley are serving a 3-course Italian Feast for dinner after the festival.
Stressed about the weather sitch? Don’t be because the festival is totally undercover. Rain, hail or shine, nothing is going to stop you from getting your wine on this Mother’s Day.
